Dave Hannon is a recent MFA graduate from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst exploring the idea of absurdity in portraiture using video, 3-D animation and sculpture. He is interested in the relationship between found and made objects. Originally from Massachusetts, he graduated from Syracuse University in painting in 2008. He then moved to New York City where he interned with Mickalene Thomas and Daria Fain. After NYC he moved to Boston, where he worked at the AIDS Action Committee's thrift store Boomerangs. He has exhibited in Western Massachusetts; Kansas City, MI; Portland, Oregon; New York City and Boston.
